AI is changing the way we work, with some jobs disappearing to be replaced by smart machines. Some researchers are saying doctors are one such profession ripe for disruption. But how likely is it your doctor is headed for early retirement? Enrico Coiera is the Director of the NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence in Digital Health with 10 years’ experience at the prestigious HP Research Laboratories in the UK. In 2015, he was awarded the highest international award in his discipline, the International Medical Informatics Association (IMIA) François Grémy Award for Excellence.
