Daiwa Tanacom Electric Reel vs Huge Tiger Shark

Was fishing for tiles and had hooked up on a tile until the reel suddenly was working much harder. I thought either I hooked onto a fish that just realized it was hooked or what ever was down there got sharked. It took about 15 minutes to get the shark in. We tried to recover the lead weight but the leader snapped when we wrapped it around the cleat. I was surprised how well the reel handled such a big fish.
