The first RAW which I already uploaded to my channel was filmed 2 days after this video here. This shows me on the Triumph making my first moves through some decent corners. I had around 20 minutes of corners before making this RAW here. So basically you can watch me getting to know the bike. Just like the title says ;)

My opinion about the bike (same text as below the first upload):
Crap bikes don't exist any more. All new models are basically good machines. So is the 2018 Triumph Speed Triple RS. It's why I won't go into detail explaining all the things which work well. I rather have a look at the bike's purpose and see if it fulfills all the needs for that purpose.
This bike can be considered as the original Powernaked/Streetfighter. Whatever you want to call it. So I'm expecting a well performing bike when ridden somewhat fast with an upright and more or less comfortable seating position.
The Speed Triple RS indeed delivered just that. The Öhlins suspension works flawlessly. Together with the bike's geometry it offers such a brilliant compromise between stiffness/stability and agility. She isn't the most agile bike in the world but you don't feel that in a negative way. Instead she gives you tons of confidence and very decent feedback from the front. I felt 100% confident and safe with the pace you can see in the video.
I didn't ride her for more than 300km per day but during those I had zero issues with my 184cm of height. I really enjoyed the bike's seating position.
This bike is called "Speed" and speed is what it was made for. I'm pretty sure that even on the racetrack you would get pretty far with it.
I only noticed two negative aspects of which only one was also influencing the bike's purpose which is fast riding. It took me a long time to notice but during my 3 day test ride the clutch lever got closer and closer to the left grip which in the end resulted in a slipping clutch actually. I thought something about the ride by wire system was broken when the bike started to sound weird under acceleration until I noticed it actually was the clutch which produced the fault. With a simple push the issue was fixed but it's ridiculous to have this sort of thing happen on an expensive premium bike.
The second thing I didn't like which did not affect the spirited riding was its very high idle RPM level. Which results in the bike accelerating on its own as soon as it hits a certain rev range. This of course is the case on many big bikes but the Triumph's engine runs so smoothly that it doesn't start rattling in the low RPMs to basically warn you. Instead it suddenly starts to pull. Can be a bit of a nasty surprise at first when for instance you're approaching your very first red light without being ready to brake any second.
Overall I absolutely loved my time with this bike. If I was rich I'd get one without hesitating. Although I think the more agile Street Triple RS is even more fun on the road.

disclaimer: I used HTML5 to hack the ECU and manipulate the bikes speedometer in order for it to show random numbers. Sometimes my hack didn't work and I had to censor the speedo in order not to show my terribly slow and embarrassing velocity.
