3. Emma Morano
Emma Morano born on November 29, 1899, is the last living women from her time period and is current oldest women in the world. She is 116 years old, and she gives credit to staying single most of it causing her to live a longer life than most. In 1938 her marriage abruptly ended following the death of their infant son. She was able to experience most things first hand, that will forever go into record books. She can teach us all a valued life lesson. She also has a lot of longevity genetics that most likely came to play. Her sister lived until 102. While another sister passed right around the turn of the century. Morano would work in factories making jute bags, and then eventually worked at a hotel. She was working past retirement age. Her diet consisted of two raw eggs a day, and a one hundred grams of steak each day. She was suggested that diet decades ago to counteract anemia. She enjoys homemade apple sauce and now lives in a one-bedroom apartment in Verbania. She lives near the Northern Italy border of Switzerland. She has a caregiver and two nieces that visit her daily.

The oldest man in the world is 256 years old. Li Ching Yuen started a his herbalist career at 10 years old. He would gather herbs in the mountain ranges. At age 71 he joined Chinese armies as a teacher for martial arts. Married twenty three times and fathered over two hundred children. He once met a five hundred year old man who taught him Qigong exercises. His secret to a long life is, “To keep a quiet heart, sit like a tortoise, walk sprightly like a pigeon, and sleep like a dog.” The calm and peace of mind with breathing techniques were his secret to longevity. His state of mind attributed the most to his long life.

1. Jeanne Louise Calment
Jeanne Louise Calment was born in Arles, France on February 21, 1875. She eventually passed away on August 4, 1997. She was born the year before Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone. She witnessed the airplane and the cinema in her lifetime. She was lucky enough to meet Vincent Van Gogh at the age of 13. Apparently Jeanne Calment was not impressed by him at all. She was blind, almost deaf, and restricted to a wheelchair. Calment remained mentally and spiritually sharp her entire life. At age 121 she released two CD's, titled Time's Mistress (Maitresse du Temps) She also released a VCR tape, and at least five of her books have been released. They were mainly her reminiscing on music. She was a widow for over half a century. Her husband was killed in 1942 at the age of 46, due to spoiled preserved cherries. Jean Calment's secret to a long healthy life, was never having to work. She grew up in a Bourgeois family. Her husband and cousin were store owners allowing her to live a happy life with ease revolving around cycling, swimming, roller skating, piano, and opera music. As Calment grew older she mostly lived off the income from the apartment she sold at 90. According to the researchers, Calment did not do anything special to keep in good health. Her longevity was possible because of her immunity to stress. As she uses to say "If you can't do anything about it, don't worry about it." She loved Olive Oil, and would eat two pounds of chocolate per week. She didn’t change until the age of one hundred and nineteen when her doctor persuaded her to stop. She would make jokes sucks as "God must have forgotten me." She always used olive oil on her skin and powder to stay young. She road bicycles until she was one hundred years old, and even started taking fencing lessons at age 85. She eventually quit smoking at the age of 119, because her doctors were worried that she was too blind to light up a cigarette all by herself.
