Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV ASC, Brake and EV Service required. Car won't start? The SOLUTION was very simple as shown in this short video.

Our particular car is the 2015 model. It's been a brilliant car in general but this one really panicked me. It wouldn't move, wouldn't start and was stuck on our driveway. What should we do? I spoke to our really friendly and helpful garage mechanic and he was stumped and suggested we'd need the vehicle recovering (from our own driveway!) to a Mitsubishi dealer for proper investigation on the errors.

Again those errors were:
EV System Service Required, Stop Safely
ASC System Service Required
Brake System Service Required

I had had a tyre replaced just a few days earlier and wondered if it had upset a tyre speed sensor (for the ASC System Service Required error). That was a red herring as it was nothing to do with that.

All we needed to do in the end was reset the charger by unplugging it from the mains and plugging it back into the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV for a charge overnight.

It sorted everything and we've done 100 miles since then without any errors. Phew. A FREE fix. Love it and had to share. Hope this has been useful for any other Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV owners with a car that won't charge or start either.
