Kawaski Vulcan S Test Ride and First Impressions

I had the chance to take the brand new 2022 Kawasaki Vulcan S out for a test ride recently, and I had a great time on it. I'm not a cruiser guy as you all know, but I've always had a soft spot in my heart for the Kawasaki Vulcan 650 because it shares a motor with the Kawasaki Versys 650, which of course I used to own. So I was stoked to get a chance to take the Vulcan S out and do a little test ride and Kawasaki Vulcan S review from the perspective of a primarily dual sport and ADV motorcycle rider. I was impressed with how flickable and maneuverable this Japanese cruiser was. My first impressions of the Vulcan S were all very positive. It seems like a beginner-friendly cruiser that's easy to maneuver around whether you're riding it or just pushing it around the garage. It's a ton easier to handle than some of the bigger cruisers I've ridden from Indian, Victory, and other manufacturers. It's probably one of the most beginner-friendly cruisers out there.

As a dual sport rider, I really am not a huge fan of the cruiser seating position, and while I found the Vulcan S to be slightly more comfortable than other cruisers I've checked out, I still really didn't dig having my feet up and in front of me, so my back and hips were a little uncomfortable by the end of the ride.

If you get the chance, I highly recommend taking a Kawasaki Vulcan S test ride of your own!
