How To Make Speculaas Spice Mix

Let Eten + Drinken owner John Williams talk you through the easy steps to make your own Dutch spice mix - Speculaas!

At E+D, we use speculaas in our Dutch Apple Cake and Dutch Spice Latte and Hot Chocolate. It can also be used to add a kick to cookies, make perfect pancakes and even can be whizzed into a paste to spread on toast!

To make the spice mix, you will need:

12tsp cinnamon
4tsp ground cloves
4tsp nutmeg
2tsp ground white pepper
2tsp coriander
2tsp fennel
1tsp ground ginger
1tsp mace
1tsp ground cardamom
