Front Row: Kapos (Full Episode with subtitles)

13-year old John Lloyd is the eldest of four children. Just this year, his youngest brother died after contracting a stomach infection. His mother earns only a few pesos from doing the neighbors' laundry part-time, forcing John Lloyd to pitch in to make ends meet and have something to feed his family.

Every day, John Lloyd gets up at the break of dawn to scavenge sellable junk from the dirty creek running under his home, saving the few pesos he is able to earn to buy some rice. When that fails, however, he resorts to other means to scrounge up food.

Along with some friends, John Lloyd proceeds to another creek in order to catch janitor fish that he then grills and serves to his family. A kind of freshwater catfish, the janitor fish is considered unfit for human consumption because their diet is composed of garbage and other pollutants in the water. To John Lloyd however, this is irrelevant in the face of hunger. Without the janitor fish, his family will be eating only salt and rice.

For how long will John Lloyd and his siblings endure this dangerous diet?
