Time travel is something that many people only see in movies and hardly pay any mind to. There is another category of people that go as far as thinking about the time travel phenomenon and trying to decide if it is real or just a figment of the imagination. Then there is a final category of people who are so sure that time travel exists and they will go to any length to make sure that they uncover the truth that lies beneath. So, what really is the truth? Is time travel real and are there people who have time-traveled to either the past or the future? Number 15 1962 FIFA World Cup

The FIFA World cup is one of the most anticipated events in the world that happens once every 4 years. The first-ever event happened in 1930 and has held ever since. But our focus is on the events of the 1962 FIFA World Cup that was hosted by Chile and ran from May 30th to June 17th of the same year. The event involved 57 teams from 6 different countries and the final winner was Brazil, clinching the cup for the second time in a row. The world cup event saw many goals and its fair share of violence which the spectators absolutely loved.

However, those are not the best parts of this story. In one of the photos showing, Ramos, the captain of the Brazilian team raising the trophy of victory, there seems to be something a little out of place. In the photo, a very happy spectator was seen taking a picture of Ramos with their cell phone. The first cell phone was launched in 1973, so what other explanation could there be as to what a spectator in 1962 was doing with a cell phone?

Could it be a super excited fan from the future come to witness the event first-hand? The image was enhanced to reveal that the device was a box camera and not a cell phone.

Number 14 The First Time Traveler, Peggy Whitson

Peggy Whitson is an American biochemist and astronaut from Iowa, United States. She was also the first female commander of the International Space Station (ISS). Because of her work as an astronaut, she is the first person who can lay claim to being a real life time traveler. In the course of her career, Peggy spent a total of 666 days in outer space in 3 long-duration tours of duty while working with the ISS. The longest of the tours involved her spending a total of 289 days, which is the longest single space flight by any woman. She is also regarded as NASA’s most experienced astronaut with 10 years of spacewalk experience to her name.

Peggy Whitson retired in 2018 in space! Now about her time travel experience, using Einstein’s time dilation theory that states time can be different to different observers, Peggy Whitson’s clock in space was not the same as that of those on earth. When she came back to earth after her long spells in space, her clock will not be as far gone as those on earth. She will look as young as when she first left for space. Basically, she stopped aging when she went into orbit. Even though the time difference was only about 0.2 seconds, it still is a great example of how time travel works.
