A 68-year-old sanitation worker left 12,000 yuan (US$1,710) and a thank you letter at a police station in eastern China’s Shandong province. He earns 600 yuan (US$85) a month, but decided to donate his savings to help frontline workers in the fight against the coronavirus outbreak.
