PreSonus PD-70 Broadcast Dynamic Microphone Review (VS Rode PodMic, Shure SM7b, SM58, MXL BCD-1)

Today, I have the PreSonus PD-70 in the Audio Hotline Studio! I am always excited to try out a budget broadcast dynamic microphone that could be great for all you Podcasters and YouTubers out there! This mic is reasonably priced for all of you that are looking for a mic to start out with. The Rode PodMic has gotten a lot of love in this price category. So one thing I decided to do, was compare some mics to the PD-70. The mics I include in this comparison are:
RØDE PodMic
Shure SM58
MXL BCD-1
Shure SM7b
Now it doesn't make sense to really include the Shure SM7b, since it is a lot more expensive than any of these mics in the comparison... but I figured people would be disappointed if I didn't include the mic that the PreSonus PD-70 resembles. Hopefully this comparison helps you narrow down which mic is right for you.

Be sure to check out the testing and audio samples and see if the PD-70 is right for you! Every person has different expectations of audio gear. If the features are what you need, and you like the sound, then it is right for you!
