1989 Ford Taurus LX 3.8 liter

I bought this 1989 Ford Taurus from the son of an 89 year old man who had passed. The car is, as you can tell, in really good condition. It did have leaky valve covers when I acquired it but I have since replaced the valve cover gaskets. The old man took the time to add a full size spare tire, but that's not shown in the video as well as I had hoped.

When I was younger, I built two model cars of the '89 Taurus SHO (I still have one, painted blue just as this car is), so as silly as it sounds, I do have a fondness for this car.

This body style came out in 1986 and was radically different from anything on the road at the time. If you look at one of my other videos, you'll see my 1985 Grand Marquis which is big and boxy (love it) like a lot of the cars at the time. In my opinion, this automobile evolution has not since been matched.
