In what many believe is the greatest CWS Cinderella story, Fresno State went from beginning the NCAA tournament as one of the lowest seeds to becoming the 2008 national champion. Steve Detwiler went 4-for-4 with two home runs, a double and all six RBIs in Game 3 to defeat Georgia, 6-1 in the 2008 CWS Finals. He also caught the final out in right field.
