Chula Vista: 3 Armed Carjackers Captured

The female victim of the stolen car was getting into her Mazda car at the Chuze Fitness parking lot when 3 juveniles (1 male & 2 females) approached her.
The male pulled out a handgun and threatened the victim and all 3 suspects got into the car and fled.

At 7:53 am, the suspects crashed into another car driven by an elderly woman at Cuyamaca Ave and L St. The 3 then fled on foot. The male was found injured approximately 1/4 mile away on the 00 block of E. San Miguel Dr., where he was taken into custody. The handgun was found along the sidewalk on Cuyamaca Ave.

The female victim in the crash was transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries. The male suspect was transported with serious injuries to a local hospital. Public announcements were made about the two female suspects, which led the Police a few miles to the west, where one female was taken into custody at Kearney St & Elm Ave. A resident came out of his house and told the Police the 3rd suspect was near Elm Ave and I St, where she was taken into custody.
