Finding Connection by Disconnecting on the Camino de Santiago | Bryce Jones | TEDxDupreePark

Walking on the Camino de Santiago across northern Spain was an incredible experience that taught speaker Bryce Jones that the intentional act of connecting with others can lead to a more enriched and fulfilled life. Our differences, diverse backgrounds, and unique perspectives are what make the walk through life more rewarding.

In his talk, Bryce shares stories from his pilgrimage and how he realized the beauty and power of true connections. He challenges us to intentionally disconnect from distractions and open our hearts and minds to those we are lucky enough to share the path with.

The Camino de Santiago is a network of pilgrimages that end in northwestern Spain at the tomb of the Apostle Saint James in the city of Santiago de Compostela. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1993, this pilgrimage began in the middle ages and has become very popular with modern-day pilgrims who walk for a variety of reasons, including spiritual, cultural, religious and physical challenges. Bryce's journey on the Camino Frances began at age 13. His plans to return in the summer of 2020 were postponed due to the global pandemic caused by COVID-19. Bryce is looking forward to returning soon to the Camino de Santiago.
