Aliens have landed above Johannesburg. To ensure humanity's safety all aliens were put into a restricted area called District 9.

Wikus, the main character, has the duty to evict the aliens from their housing. They are moved to District 10, an area further away from the human population. On his mission he comes across a mysterious cylinder that sprays a black liquid into his face. As a result, his health spirals down and he slowly becomes one of them.

We follow Wikus, look at the mistake he makes and figure out better ways on how to beat the alien infection in District 9.
