Reason #1: Freezer drain: The drain is where the water goes during the defrost cycle. If the freezer drain is clogged, the water won’t drain properly, creating ice within the fridge.

Reason #2: Water Inlet Valve: The inlet valve controls the cold water that enters the refrigerator. If the ice maker isn’t working, the water inlet valve could be going bad and need to be replaced.

Reason #3: Ice Maker: If the refrigerator is leaking water, the ice maker may be broken or damaged.

Reason #4: Water filter assembly: The assembly works together to filter the water as it comes into the fridge. The water filter assembly can become clogged or damaged, resulting in water leaking under or around the assembly.

Reason #5: Ice Maker Fill Tube: The tube moves from the water supply line to the ice maker. If the ice maker fill tube is cracked or damaged, water could leak outside or inside the fridge.

Reason #6: Water tank: Holds water inside the fridge so you can have cold water from the dispenser. A leaking water tank will result in water on the bottom of the refrigerator.

Reason #7: Drain pan: This pan is where the water from the defrost cycle collects. If the drain pan is cracked, water may leak out from underneath the pan.

Reason #8: Water lines and connectors: These lines and connectors are made of plastic and carry water throughout the fridge. If the water lines and connectors are damaged, it may be causing a leak in the fridge.
