Portrait Painting Using A Limited Palette

In this portrait painting tutorial, realist painter Alex Tzavaras completes an Alla Prima portrait painting using a limited palette of just three colours, Ultramarine Blue, Transparent Oxide Red and Titanium White.

Alex shows you, how you can achieve a life like result without having to match all the colours that you see exactly, but instead to just try and capture the colour temperature and value relationships.
