Dremel Flex Shaft How To Attach: A Beginner's Guide

In this video I show how to attach the Dremel Flex Shaft to a Dremel Rotary Tool. This video is for beginners that like to see how things are done before they attempt something new. I have the Dremel 8220 model but the Flex Shaft attaches to many Dremel models. The package has a list of all the models.

Always read and follow the instruction booklet that comes with it. I mention extra safety tips like removing the battery or unplug before touching the accessory when removing or putting it in the Dremel. That might be considered being overly cautious; you be the judge and do what is best for you. At least do that step before attaching the Flex Shaft.

I found the FlexShaft to be easy to use. It feels comfortable in my hands. The material used for the working end is soft with a nice texture and grips well. Using it feels very ergonomic. Overall the Flex Shaft is well built and made of quality materials.

I plan on and already starting to use the Flex Shaft for grinding, sanding, and polishing gemstones. I might even eventually try carving.
