Today's video is all about how to create a classic gel wave which is currently on trend - but actually quite difficult to do.

As always I am grateful for a thumbs it truly helps.

Ideally part above the middle of the left eyebrow and back 5-7cm. I use my middle finger as a guide, then part with a diagonal line from the middle of the right eyebrow to meet the other parting at the back so its kind of triangular in shape.

There are some important points to note to perfect this ballroom hairstyle:
- the gel wave needs to cover the hairline, the closer towards the brow the more dramatic the look
- Try to do the wave in one go then perfect it after otherwise, you will end up with problems.
- Providing it hasn’t started veto set If it goes wrong, start the gel wave again, often the more you try to fix it the worse it gets
- If the gel wave has started to set you will have to wash it all out and start again so lay the gel wave down and perfect afterwards
- When you are doing a gel wave, especially if you are a beginner, do hair before the makeup up because if you mess it up at least you can wash the section out without destroying the makeup.
- Make sure you parting lines are neat, tidy and straight.
