How Can We Use Storytelling to Find a Way Out of the Climate Crisis?

Whether you look at the explosion of climate fiction from authors like Kim Stanley Robinson (“The Ministry for the Future”), and the renewed interest in the works of the late Octavia Butler ("The Parable of the Sower"), fictional worlds can provide the space to imagine climate solutions or a new way to look at the problem. Can different modes of storytelling, and the way we relate to them, help us find a way out of the crisis? And are creative approaches to non-fiction having a greater impact?

Speakers:
Cara Buckley, Climate Reporter, The New York Times
Louie Psihoyos, Filmmaker and Executive Director, Oceanic Preservation Society
Ayana Jamieson, Octavia E. Butler scholar
Katharine Wilkinson, Climate Author, Strategist, Teacher and Co-Founder, All We Can Save
