Steven Parente Vintage Hand Wound Pickups Installed Into a 2009 Fender Squier Bullet
This is my first set of vintage 50's style, single coil strat pickups that I hand wound. I installed it into my 2009 Fender Squier Bullet, which I set up for slide. Spencer Ahuna, owner of Big Island Guitars and Music Supply, is demonstrating the tone with his excellent hybrid finger style picking, even with the very heavy strings. This is the same guitar in my "Complete Upgrade - Squier Bullet Stratocaster" video: https://youtu.be/XxpS6k0sZ9o These pickups are hand wound to 50's specs for clarity and vintage tone. The bobbins are 70's style with uniform pole pieces, best for 9.5" and larger fingerboard radiuses and modern style strings. These pickups are available at Big Island Guitars and Music Supply http://www.bigislandguitars.com. If you live outside of Hilo, they can be ordered through Big Island Guitars and shipped to your location.
