‘Same double standard’: Biden’s ‘Hypocrisy’ called out amid EV plan
One of the problems US President Joe Biden will have when trying to sell his new EV plan is his “hypocrisy”, says Sky News host Chris Kenny.
Joe Biden and the Democrats are arguing that within eight years more than half of all cars sold in the US will be electric, and another 15 per cent will be plug-in hybrids.
“I mean the President was campaigning in Phoenix, Arizona yesterday, and have a look at this – he arrives in Air Force One, a Boeing 747, not the most fuel efficient airplane,” Mr Kenny said.
“And then just take in for a moment the size of the presidential motorcade which sounds very much like a convoy of internal combustion engines.
“That's a convoy of consequence isn't it, it shows one attitude to carbon emissions, while the president preaches something entirely different.”
