Our Compulsive Need For A Villain | Rachael Nyaguthie Mugendi | TEDxAshesiUniversity
Rachel picks part her childhood in an abusive and neglectful home. She navigates her story in a way that connotes great self discovery and an all new perception to the villains of her childhood. Lastly, she use her talk to highlight that we are often the obstacle(s) in our own path for growth. Rachel Mugendi is a first year Mechanical Engineering major at Ashesi.
She is very enthusiastic about Africa's economic growth and is very
proud to be part of the next revolution of leaders in Africa. She has
spoken to students from all over Kenya in forums such as The Equity
Leaders' Program, where she served as a volunteer mentor. Rachael is
the co-founder of Eduzuka education, an online school that aims to help
students from all over Kenya and Africa learn techniques to study better
using the Science of Learning. A fun fact about Rachael is that she is
excellent with patterns of all kinds. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
