Le gabbie mentali che rinchiudono la nostra creatività sono spesso autoimposte. Come superarle? Cosa ci racconta l’esperienza degli adolescenti rinchiusi (anche) tra le sbarre fisiche delle carceri minorili? Un viaggio tra rap e poesia in cui si affrontano i propri limiti e si scoprono nuove prospettive.

The mental cages that confine our creativity are often self-imposed. How can we overcome them? What can we learn from the experience of adolescents (also) confined behind the physical bars of juvenile prisons? A journey through rap and poetry on which we face our limits and discover new perspectives. Francesco “Kento” Carlo è un rapper e scrittore di Reggio Calabria, con un curriculum più di 1.000 concerti in ogni angolo d’Italia e all’estero. Tiene laboratori di scrittura in carceri minorili, scuole e comunità di recupero da più di 10 anni. È stato premiato da ANPI – Associazione Partigiani e Casa Memoria Peppino Impastato. Il suo ultimo libro “BARRE – Rap, Sogni e Segreti in un Carcere Minorile” è uscito nel 2021 per minimum fax.
Francesco "Kento" Carlo is a rapper and author from Reggio Calabria, with an experience of more than 1,000 concerts in Italy and abroad. He has been holding writing workshops in juvenile prisons, schools and rehabilitation communities for more than 10 years and been awarded by ANPI - Partisans Association and Casa Memoria Impastato (Sicilian anti-mafia association). His latest book "BARRE - Rap, Dreams and Secrets in a Juvenile Prison" has been published in 2021 by minimum fax.
