What do Red Bull do if Max Verstappen leaves for Mercedes?

So I've been thinking. IF Red Bull cock up this year, and don't deliver Max Verstappen the car he needs to win the title. Probably due to unreliability. Then he can feasibly trigger an exit clause, and leave. Probably to Mercedes.

What would Red Bull do next, if that happened? Who would burst into tears first, Helmut or Christian?
