PRACTICE WITH ME IN THE COMMENTS! Think of similarities between your country and the U.S. Write sentences with "both...and" and "not only...but also." Write a sentence to show that 2 things are not true about both countries with "neither...nor." 😀
I will give you feedback on your sentences!
⬇️ Take your English up a level with correlative conjunctions!
How to use correlative conjunctions:
not only...but also
either...or
neither...nor
both...and
whether...or
If you make two-part subjects joined by “either . . . or,” “neither . . . nor,” or “not only . . . but also,” the verb should agree with the subject that is closer to the verb.
Example:
Neither your peers nor your teacher has the final say about your essay topic.
In this case, the verb must agree with “teacher” because it’s closest to the verb “has.”
