How to hit Bass strings with Marbles - Marble Machine X #4

To get the marbles to hit the bass strings accurately on the Marble Machine X we designed the first 3D printed part for the machine!

This is the kind of precision the first machine lacked and the precision that sooner or later will make the Marble Machine X able to play live on stage.

While the most parts of the MMX will be cut from birch plywood with a CNC machine, adding some 3D printed parts to the design of the machine open up a lot of possibilities. I am working on a design for 3D printed kick and snare drum right now and i think it could turn out really great both function wise and from an esthetics perspective.

By the way i will grind all the lacquer off the bass again, like i did on the first machine!
