Israel poised to attack Rafah as UN General Assembly votes for Palestine membership

For five days there has been no fuel and almost no aid entering Gaza, according to UN agencies, which issued fresh warnings today of "even more unprecedented levels of emergency". (Subscribe: https://bit.ly/C4_News_Subscribe)

The vote at the UN in New York doesn't change anything for now, depending on your view it may be an impotent gesture or a powerful symbol of how the world feels about Palestinian rights.

Israel continues to defy American warnings not to attack Rafah where there are still, despite the current evacuations, over a million displaced people.
