Breaking Dr. Mario (14 virus combo) - NES

The standard scoring mechanic for NES Dr Mario on low speed is as follows:

1st virus - 100 points
2nd virus - 200 points
3rd virus - 400 points
4th virus - 800 points
5th virus - 1600 points
6th virus and beyond - 3200 points

But with this 14 virus combo, the scoring ladder was broken.

Starting total - 3700
Virus 1 - 3800 (+100)
Virus 2 - 4000 (+200)
Virus 3/4/5 - 6800 (+400/+800/+1600)
Virus 6/7/8 - 16400 (+3200/+3200/+3200)
Virus 9/10 - 22800 (+3200/+3200)

Everything is on schedule up until now, then this happens

Virus 11/12/13 - 27300 (+4500), the proper score should've been 32400
Virus 14 - 52900 (+25600), the proper score should've been 35600

Virus 14 earned (3200 * 8). I do not know if this scoring glitch is constant, but it is a helpful tool in games that use Dr. Mario scores like the Nintendo Campus Challenge 1991 and Nintendo World Championships Remix (2015).
