To start: Quickly press Lock twice, then hold Lock (3rd press) for 3 seconds.
To stop: Press the Lock or Unlock button.

Engine stops the moment the doors are opened. So you have to restart the car to get going.

Remote engine starter range is the same as the Smart Key distance. So whatever distance you can unlock/lock your car using the remote.
