1990s SONY TRINITRON Television: HOW IT WAS MADE (vintage TV CRT Tube electronics)

SONY TRINITRON TV – How it was made. An awesome vintage (circa 1998) video by SONY showing the Sony Technology Center-Pittsburgh (STC-P) once the world's first vertically integrated television manufacturing plant, opened in 1990 to produce large rear projection TVs, and later the TRINITRON CRT and Flat Screen CRT TVs, the STC-P facility in Pennsylvania once employed over 3,000 people. This historical video was rescued and restored from an old VHS recording. This fascinating 9 minute excerpt shows in detail the production of the TRINITRON and TRINITRON Flat-Screen TVs.

The Pennsylvania factory was Sony's last remaining TV manufacturing facility in the U.S. After an impressive history, it closed STC- P operations in 2010. (For more information about SONY’s history, visit SONY.net)
