Wroclaw, Poland, August 4, 2019 - The FIVB Volleyball Olympic Qualification Tournament in Wrocław is now history, and Serbia emerged as its winners, defeating Poland 3-1 (21-25, 25-23, 25-16, 25-23) and qualifying for the Olympic Games fourth time in a row.

Agnieszka Kakolewska (Poland captain): Maybe in a few days, looking at it from another perspective, we will say that it was a good game. It's a pity, because we could defeat the world champions and make our dreams come true. Instead of that we feel deep sadness. The Serbians showed that they fight till the end and they proved on the court that they are true champions. It's really hard to play against them. We risked with serve, because in games like this you have to do it, there is nothing to lose.

Jacek Nawrocki (Poland head coach): We have to appreciate the efforts of the girls and their game. It was like yesterday, no matter the result, I stand firmly behind them. They played their best, with huge determination. We reacted pretty well tactically, however, it was really difficult to stop Boskovic, who in the decisive part of set was able to attack 6 times with no mistake. When you play against the world champions, each of even the smallest mistakes are used. I'm proud of my girls, however, I feel sad that we missed a bit of luck.

Maja Ognjenovic (Serbia captain): We expected this game to be a tough battle, we knew that Poland have a good squad and above all they played in front of home crowd, so it gave them some advantage. We are obviously not in our top shape now, we are looking for our rhythm, some girls who played last year are not here, so there were many factors which influenced our game. I'm very happy and proud that we managed to use the first chance to qualify, because the Olympic Games really mean a lot to us. We are going with the highest goals, so now we made our job easier, because we don't have to wait for continental qualification in January. Poland are the volleyball nation, they know and love this sport, so it's always a pleasure to play here.

Zoran Terzic (Serbia head coach): It's a great success, for the fourth time in a row Serbia will be at the Olympic Games and it's definitely something that we didn't even dare to dream 15-20 years ago. Now this dream is coming true and we are going for our second Olympic medal - which maybe is the most precious in sport. This game was maybe not on the highest level, at least on our side, but I'm satisfied, because we managed to come back from a difficult situation and we won this game.
