Researching & Applying Process Mining, an Innovative Technology Changing the Way Companies Work

Kateryna Kubrak is a 2021 master's graduate who is currently pursuing a PhD in the field of process mining at the University of Tartu, where she is also working as a teaching assistant. In her free time, she volunteers at non-profit organisations and tries to attend one of her million hobbies.

Process mining is a relatively modern technology that, in layman's terms, aids in advanced business analysis. It focuses on the business processes of the organisations. Process mining algorithms analyse the data that exists in organisations and provide insights into problems in the business processes and possible solutions for them. By tackling the inefficiencies in processes, organisations optimise their resources and save tons of costs.

The Innovation and Technology Management master's programme is perfect for those who are interested in IT and business but cannot decide what they like most. Kateryna came to the programme with a background in computer science and wanted to learn more about innovation in business. The programme provides an excellent overview of both sides and gives the flexibility to dive deep into the topics that interest you the most.
