Is Homeopathy Effective? (Malayalam) Dr C Viswanathan v/s Dr N Sukumaran Part 1

This is part 1 of the debate between Dr.C.Viswanathan.M.S. (Ortho) from Kerala Freethinkers' forum and Dr.N.Sukumaran, a practicing homeopathic physician from Mumbai. Debate was conducted jointly by Mumbai rationalist association and Indian secular society, at Nerul, Navi Mumbai on 27th March, 2016.
Dr. Sukumaran argued that For efficient functioning of the human system about 52 elements, their derivatives,and combinations are essential.According to him,all the homoeopathic medicines are derived from from raw materials containing these
elements properly potentiated and requirement and administration of appropriate
medicine is decided based on the inequilibrium condition observed in the patient.He also argued that , even though there are no molecules of the original drug in the homeopathic medicines,when a material is potentiated in a medium the resultant product will carry the "memory" of mother material.
Dr.Viswanathan, in his presentation, briefly touched upon the history of Homeopathy, and under eight "lessons", explained why it is scientifically implausible that Homeopathy could be effective. He also briefly explained eight reasons why ineffective medical interventions like homeopathy might appear to be effective.Manoj White John moderated the debate.
