FoxPower 12KW Off Grid Inverter/Charger Installation

In this video, I cover the installation procedure that I followed to install the new inverter that FoxPower has sent to me for review. I removed the old inverter from the wall, installed a uni-strut rack, and remounted the two inverters to the rack using self drilling screws. I then ran 3/0 copper wire to the terminals. I plan to replace the lugs on the inverter with different ones to allow for a second parallel run of 3/0 wire, to incrase the ampacity to 400 amps vs 200 amps with just one run.

The capabilities of this inverter are impressive. I was able to power 2x 13,500 BTU RV air conditioners, and the 30 amp heating element of a hot tub, all at once, while only reaching 80% capacity. The inverter has no problem starting the 5 HP motor of our air compressor under load. The charger of the inverter is rated at 120 amps which means when running the generator, we can charge the batteries at a rapid rate.

One feature that this new unit has that the black inverter shown in the video does not have - Is the fact that when under minimal load, all fans in the inverter are turned off and the unit is practically silent. This increases power efficiency of the unit greatly.
