Mugger crocodile in the Vasishthi River near Maldoli village in the Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra.
An unforgettable experience seeing these beautifully intimidating creatures in their natural habitat! The setting is perfect - the backwaters, the boat-ride, the crocodiles, the hope of spotting an Otter and end it all with some nice 'kande pohe' and lemon grass chai by the river!
A word of caution here. Wildlife is best viewed from a distance. The moment we got a bit closer this huge guy disappered in the water, but not before an intimidating and warning splash of water and mud!
