Creating a Windows 10 Virtual Machine on Synology DS918+

One of the first projects that I want to do with my Synology NAS is to create an always on iPhone back up for our devices. When I was younger, I had a hard drive crash on me and I lost literally ALL of my family pictures from the time that I was in high school until the time that I joined the Air Force 4 years later. I was able to get some of these pictures back, but many of them are gone forever. This is something that I really regret, since many of those pictures were of me and my dad, who passed away from sepsis in 2009. Since pretty much all the pictures my wife and I take are on our phones, we want to make sure that they back up each day automatically.
In this video I will discuss how to create a virtual machine on the Synology NAS. Since iPhones rely on a computer running iTunes in order to back up over WiFi, a virtual machine will allow me to do this without having to run a separate PC. Sure I could simply pay for additional storage space on iCloud, but with a NAS with 20TB of storage space, why pay a monthly fee when I can make my own cloud? Follow along as I set up a Windows 10 Virtual Machine on my Synology DS918+!
