Chechnya - Bomb Attacks Continue
(24 Dec 1994) Fierce air attacks continued in the Chechen capital Grozny on
Friday (23/12), amid growing criticism in Russia and abroad over
mounting civilian deaths. The bombings have driven thousands of
residents out of the city and most journalists have also left. On the
Dagestan/Chechnya border, Russian infantry troops were out in full
force on Friday.
