Boreus hyemalis – Mating snow fleas

A couple (male + female) of snowfleas (winter scorpionflies) – Boreus hyemalis. Shot in Stockholm/Sweden on March 18, 2018. This clip shows a selection of almost 20 minutes of footage I got of this couple struggling/fighting prior to mating and *spoiler warning* eventually mating. I had the opportunity to observe them in situ for roughly 45 minutes.
