RV Wheel Maintenance - What No One Told You
All the RV wheel and tire tips and tricks no one told you when you purchased your new or used RV. Make sure you are taking care of these core areas before you end up losing a wheel or worse!
These are the essential RV tips and tricks you need to know about dealing with your wheel bearings, tires, and over axle health.
Taken from our own experience over the last year and a half of full time RV living and thousands of miles of RV travel. Some of these we learned early on, and some we learned the hard way. Use our experience pulling a fifth wheel across the country multiple times and avoid a disaster.
1. Check your Tire PSI every time before you drive!
2. Check your tires for heat, nails, and anything strange every time you park or stop to fuel up.
3. Repack your wheel bearings with new fresh grease and inspect your axle spindle every year, or more if you travel frequently.
4. Replace your RV Tires every five to seven years, or whenever you begin to see ware, cracking, separation, or low tread.
