The Ultimate Sealant? - Soft99 Fusso Original Formula

I started out with a clean test hood and applied this fluorine resin based polymer wax to half of it. It was easy to apply, though I accidentally put too much wax on half of the test area. It made it a little difficult to remove where I over applied. The areas where an appropriate amount of wax were used had no issues in removal.

Once cured the wax was tested for slickness. It was very slick, I could see comparing it with the Wolfgang and Jescar products. The visual quality of the product was also pretty good. Its depth reminded me of Wolfgang, but it wasn't quite as vibrant. Overall there wasn't as much pop as I wanted from the paint, but it looked good.

Measuring the gloss levels of a test panel after an application of the Fusso wax was my next test. I used a gloss meter to read gloss levels from a panel that normally reads 90GU with nothing on it. Unfortunately the Soft99 wax knocked the gloss levels down by 5.9 points on average to 84.1GU. This is why the paint is not popping!

The only thing that would keep me from selecting Fusso over a ceramic coating or ceramic wax over is the gloss. Unfortunately this wax just isn't that shiny, but it does look very deep. Ceramics will make the paint pop more, but the installation difficulty of a coating is usually beyond what most home waxing diy-ers will entertain. If you don't want to invest in the time to coat, this Fusso from Soft99 seems like the most durable wax on the market, at least in my tests! I'm looking forward to testing their new formula which I've already ordered.
