When a clown hands Balu a pamphlet of a magic show that would be playing in their area, the Kumars are very excited. With much anticipation, they attend the show. Astounded by the magician's tricks, they are delighted when he calls each of them on stage as volunteers. However, things go amiss when Balu is turned into a monkey. With the magician unconscious, Balu still a monkey, and his family very anxious to get him back to normal, chaos brews on stage.

'Gutur Gu' is a silent series which follows the life of Balu. Balu lives with his family, which includes his wife Smita, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kumar. He is supported by his friend Pappu Maharaj, who is also the family’s cook. But Balu’s innocence and enthusiasm ensure that he finds adventure even in the most mundane and dull life situations.
