Empathy+Revolt=Change | Paula Herlo | TEDxBucharestSalon

Paula Herlo, opened her talk with some terrifying statistics about Romania, like this one:”every six hours a child is abandoned in a maternity”. This is the reality we live in, not the one from our living room, or our office. She thinks empathy + revolt = change. “Romania needs to be rewritten”. Her mission is to fight for people too small against the system. Paula told the story behind the social campaigns There’s Life In Our Blood and I Want Parents, Too that led to establishing the National Unrelated Donors’ Registry and modifying the Adoption Act.
