Joe Biden’s ‘big’ week analysed
It has been a “big” and “interesting” week for US President Joe Biden, says Curtin University’s Professor Joe Siracusa.
His comments come as the President’s son Hunter Biden is indicted over gun offences.
“There was supposed to be a deal a couple of weeks ago where they were going to start to forgive some things … but that’s gone by the by,” Professor Siracusa told Sky News Australia.
“And then we’ve got the inquiry starting in the House of Representatives for possible impeachment – of course all you really need to get an impeachment going is 218 votes, it’s just about numbers.
“And of course, we have the auto workers going on strike – these are 13,000 men and women in key cities or in key states that are crucial to the President’s re-election.
“So he’s got to figure out what to do.”
