Sans CONNECTS Deltarune to Undertale! (Deltarune Theories)

There have been many theories surrounding Deltarune and its connections to Toby Fox's previous game Undertale. Some even label it as Undertale 2. However one character stands out to connect these two strange worlds and his name is Sans. Is the Sans that appears in Deltarune the same character as the one we encountered during our time in the world of Undertale? Has he traveled to an alternate dimension to reunite with us in this new game Deltarune? Was Sans a darkner all along?
