Gary Gensler Keynote

Gary Gensler delivered the keynote address at the 1st Annual Blockchain, Fintech & The Law Conference at Harvard Law School. Introductory remarks by Elizabeth Ferrie ’19. Gary served as Chair of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) from 2009-2014 and worked as CFO for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign. He is currently Senior Advisor to the director of the MIT Media Lab and a Senior Lecturer at the MIT Sloan School of Management. Event hosted by the Harvard Law School Blockchain and Fintech Initiative (HLSBFI) and the Harvard Association for Law and Business (HALB).

The Harvard Law School "Blockchain, Fintech & The Law" Conference, organized by the Harvard Law School Blockchain & FinTech Initiative (HLSBFI), took place on April 15 and 16, 2019 and featured a number of talks with leading legal practitioners, industry experts, academics and regulators who explored various legal issues surrounding FinTech, blockchain, cryptocurrencies and other relevant technologies in the financial sector.
