Rescuing a baby flying-fox on a log: this is Diddle Diddle Dumpling

Diddle Diddle Dumpling was hanging off a usually submerged log on the edge of a dried up pond near a local bat colony. With the drought, the lily pond edges have receded back about 10 feet and little Dumpling was hanging on the log. An alert member of public spotted her and called for rescue.
Dumpling isn't doing really well - she's squidgy and unhappy and even 3 days later she's very quiet and unwell - but she's hanging in there and improving, albeit slowly.
I honestly don't know what's wrong with her but I suspect that she's got some internal injuries which aren't enough to kill her, but are slowly resolving. She seems to have less pain now than 3 days ago and she's more alert.

I called her Dumpling because she's skinny and scrawny and I have aspirations of her turning into a healthy little Dumpling sometime in the next few weeks.
Diddle Diddle Dumpling is a nursery rhyme.
