This montage consisted of almost 2 hours of footage, compressed into 2 minutes. The reason is because the main stages are really generous with their ranking. You have to really dawdle around for a while, and also die along the way there, to get some of the lower ranks. Heck, I now pretty much have to play bad on purpose to get B-Ranks.

Unlike with Sonic Unleashed or Sonic Colors, Sonic doesn't react negatively to any of the rankings. They just get increasingly overjoyed as you get better ranks.

Note that the challenges are not included in this montage, as there's no reaction from Sonic. You're just given the letter rank and asked if you want to play it again. You only get these from main stages and boss battles (including rival battles).
