revheadz artificial engine sound through car speakers

With this app called revheadz you can turn your boring family car into a nice sounding racing car. This is an artificial engine sound generator that works with your car speakers and the obd2 port.The revs of your motor are matched with the revs of the engine you want to replicate so it gives a more realistic experience.

You will need an Obd2 adapter with bluetooth. You can buy an adapter for cheap on amazon or ebay and also use it for other handy things. (Like read fault codes of your car or change hidden settings)

If you don't have an obd2 port in your car or you don't have or want to use your smartphone another alternative is the soundracer x which is a dedicated device. But it doesn't work on every car (make sure to check on their website if it's compatible with your car model)

I like the revheadz app personally especially for it's price. It's also easy to install, just plug and play the obd2 adapter and then connect to the app and you are ready to go. A professional solution might cost you easily 1000 dollar. The only problem that i have is having to setup the app every time you startup your car. It might be handier to have a dedicated device for that reason if you plan on using this much.
